To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sino-France relations, China Central Television (CCTV)'s French Channel produced a special program named "50 ans, 50 témoins" and interviews 50 representative persons. As one of the interviewees, Jean-Pascal's episode was broadcasted recently and the brief summary is as below:
Since 2008 Jean-Pascal Tricoire has been the head of the Comité France-Chine (France-China Committee), an organization comprised of representatives of France’s largest companies. The organization’s role is to promote cooperation between Chinese and French entrepreneurs and executives.
Jean-Pascal Tricoire is also the main representative of a large French energy efficiency management company. His career brought him to China for the first time 20 years ago. In that time he has witnessed the staggering transformation in China - a transformation he deems positive, one that offers a great number of opportunities to foreign companies.
An avid reader of Chinese literary classics, such as “Three Kingdoms” and Sun Tzu’s “Art of War”, Jean-Pascal greatly admires Chinese culture. He is one of the rare multinational company representatives to live in China and speak fluent Chinese. As such he often delivers his speeches in Chinese. He is hopeful younger generations will continue to effectively bridge Sino-French relations.
