          3 questions to Jean-François Pilliard

Jean-François Pilliard received on October 18th in Paris the HR Senior VP Trophy of the year 2005. This trophy was created 9 years ago by Hudson, the world leader in consulting for the human resources and recruitment, and "Le Figaro" a French daily newspaper. In 2005, the jury decided to work on the subject "the relation in the work environment". Around this theme, several questions have been treated: how to attract and retain employees, the passion to work, the new behaviors in the workplace, the staff representatives, the social link... The jury decided to award the HR Senior VP who represents the function in the best way thanks to the implementation of the policies and HR actions.

I consider this award as a collective reward for the Top Management of Schneider Electric who is very concerned by questions about human resources and for all HR departments within the Group who contributed to these results.

Could you please explain which HR actions allowed you to receive this award?
Since several years HR teams have strongly contributed to the efficiency of our business, through the teams internationalization, the development of men and women and the stimulation of the teams.

Will this award change something for you and for the HR function of Schneider Electric?
I think this award will encourage us to pursue our HR projects with more enthusiasm. It reinforces our choices for the priorities of new² such as health, safety, development of talents and development of actions which aim at unleashing the entrepreneurship.
It also reinforces our mission which consists in creating the best conditions for people to develop themselves, to find new talents and to give everyone the willingness to commit.
