Singapore's Regional Distribution Center demonstrates its commitment towards the Planet & Society

Schneider Electric Logistics Asia (SELA), regional distribution center in Singapore, was recently certified ISO 14001: 2004 on December 12, 2005. This award has strongly demonstrated the commitment and dedication of Schneider Electric towards the Planet & Society.

SELA was established in 1993 in Singapore. Over the years, it has achieved major national standards that highlight their excellence in terms of logistics efficiencies to serve their customers with the best satisfaction level.

The preparation job for ISO 14001: 2004 certification program dated back in February 2005 with its entire system developed and implemented by SELA. Internal audits were conducted in order to ensure that the system was completed before the 2-day final audit made by PSB, Singapore’s national certification body, at the end of November 2005.

          SELA recognized for its quality!
In June 1996, SELA was certified ISO 9002: 1994 and subsequently converted to ISO 9001: 2000 in June 2003 for Quality Management System. In terms of Business Excellence, SELA is certified with the Singapore Quality Class award, which is the same framework used for other National Quality Awards, e.g the Malcolm Baldridge Quality award and European Quality award.
