64 buildings will benefit from the latest solutions developed by TAC
Optimize energy consumption and ensure the best possible indoor climate for the residents: Here are the two objectives TAC, a company of Schneider Electric, will have to fulfill for the property project developed with Nyköpingshem, the property developer managing about 4,000 apartments in Nyköping, Sweden.
The project is designed to stimulate improved performance and better services through large-scale savings in energy. Over the next 5 years, it will cover 64 buildings. The technical upgrading of the properties will convert the existing oil heating system into a state-of-the-art heat pump system. In addition, TAC is to implement a comprehensive building management system (BMS).
“Our energy costs have increased by more than 40% over the last five years,” explains Christer Gustavsson, Managing Director of Nyköpingshem. “The money we save now, working with TAC, will be used to benefit our tenants by making the buildings more comfortable to live in.”
The joint long-term commitment will develop property strategies, increase know-how and skills all to ensure that energy savings and environmental objectives are attained and, preferably, surpassed.
