Energy Efficiency all around the french fine arts museum

Vast, airy and luminous, the « Petit Palais » art museum in Paris bursts back to life and shows once again, after 4 years of refurbishment, its original brightness. The museum reopened last December, entirely renovated, with the contribution of Schneider Electric and TAC.

The restoration project had for main objective to supply the building with high-tech installations. The system from Schneider Electric and TAC reduces energy consumption, controls operating costs and allows the Petit Palais to be operated efficiently. All of the buildings automation and surveillance systems, including climate control (temperature, humidity, ventilation), lighting, access control and artwork security are optimized.

The new Petit Palais means more comfort for the visitors, but also for the museum’s curator. Automation and IT solutions make the visit secure for the public and preserve the art works. It’s also a lot more comfort for the developer, especially whent it comes to the technical facilities such as HVAC and lighting.
