Schneider Electric Egypt part of the Terminal 3 construction project

In 2005, Egypt welcomed more than 8.6 million visitors: A constantly growing number.

As to face the current expansion of tourism and the increase of the passengers’ traffic, Cairo International Airport decided to build a third terminal.

Schneider Electric Egypt is part of the T3 project. The contract includes the supply of both medium and low voltage equipment, as well as products from MGE UPS and Power Logic.

Today, Cairo International Airport represents almost half of the country’s passengers’ traffic. The project will increase the total capacity of the airport from 9 to 21 million passengers each year.

Terminal 3, which will be serving both domestic and international flights and passenger traffic, should be inaugurated in March 2007.
