The Electrical and Mechanical Prefabrication Alpine Company is Schneider Electric’s first industrial site to obtain Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Certifications.
Sapem, a company of Schneider Electric, has been working on an Integrated Management System. It includes a global approach on Quality, Security and Environment. A system where all resources work in common and which allows to bring about synergies between different departments.
Sapem Integrated Management System was audited by AFAQ, one of the first french and worldwide body of accreditation.
Quality and Environment certifications, ISO 9001 and 14001 respectively, were renewed. The first certification on Health and Safety was also granted. In contributing directly to the Health objectives of Schneider Electric Planet & Society Barometer, the Health & Safety certification shows how production units tends to give structure to their management system, as the Group’s policy recommends it.
This certification allows the Sapem to reinforce and reach its number 1 objective: Health & Safety at work.
The Health and Safety specification: A system of reference to control risks
OHSAS* 18001 is an international occupational health and safety management system specification. It was created via a concerted effort from a number of the worlds leading national standard and certification bodies. Its objective is to manage health and safety at work more effectively.
Based on a voluntary approach, a certified company is willing to:
