An offer 100% energy savings for the renovation of the public lighting system of the French city.
Schneider Electric is awarded a contract for the renovation of the public lighting system in Amiens (northern of France).
" The offer installed is 100% Schneider Electric," explains James Courtefois, project manager from Schneider Electric Reims agency." It includes LUBIO public lighting voltage regulators/dividers, Thalassa enclosures by SAREL and Sorhodel remote management gateways."
This project concerns the renovation of two hundred public lighting enclosures. Schneider Electric highlighted the modularity and the energy savings.
The modularity of Lubio: In order to deliver the required 36 kVA of power, six 6kVA modules offer optimal flexibility for adapting to a highly diversified and scalable distribution network. Their small size and reduced weight guarantee the greatest ease of maintenance.
Energy savings: The Lubio voltage regulators/dividers were coupled with the Sorhodel management system for remote programming from a centralized PC, allowing voltage delivery to be fine tuned to system requirements. Public lighting is more intense during heavy traffic periods, and can be progressively lowered during nighttime off-peak hours, thereby reducing energy consumption by 40 per cent and lamplight lifetime by 25 per cent.
This realization allows Schneider Electric to consolidate its position within the public lighting market, guiding the city of Amiens through its sustainable development approach.
