Hollywood on the Nile: The Mubarak Studios Complex
Filmmaking has long been a major industry in Egypt, where movies and TV series are produced every year and then distributed to a large number of Arab countries. To continue offering the finest quality filmed entertainment, the Egyptian government has decided to create the Mubarak Studios Complex, the largest studio in the Middle East, with the resources to compete with the Hollywood majors.
To guarantee the quality and reliability needed for such an ambitious project, an international call for bids was issued, in particular for electrical and electronic installations. Schneider Electric Egypt was chosen to supply medium voltage switchboards (Merlin Gerin Fluair 200 and SM6) and low voltage distribution boards (Merlin Gerin Masterbloc, Prisma P and G).
Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2000.
