An important medium voltage contract in India
Schneider Electric India Limited has won an annual contract to supply Ring Main units for 22kV and 11kV ring sub-station in city of Bombay. The order for Merlin Gerin Ring Masters and RM6 units was signed with Tata Electric Companies (TEC), a major private power utility in India. TEC has been licensed by the state government to generate and distribute power to bulk buyers in Bombay. It also owns and operates several hydroelectric and thermal power plants. The contract, around $2.7 million, is the largestmedium voltage order ever recorded in India, by Schneider Electric India Ltd.
