Schneider Electric strengthens its presence in PC based automation technologies
Today, Schneider Electric acquired Steeplechase Software Inc., an American company located in Ann Arbor (Michigan) which specializes in PC based automation systems.
The Steeplechase acquisition will expand Schneider Electric’s offering in automation technologies and broaden customer choices for PLC and PC based solutions. Schneider Electric is now able to provide them with the necessary organization to fulfil their information requirements in the future.
According to Schneider Automation President and COO, Alain Marbach, “Since 1993, Steeplechase has led the development of PC-based solutions for the automation control market. Their commitment to growing the PC based control business and evolving their product towards openness, flexibility, web enablement and integrated solutions makes them an excellent fit with the global strategies of Schneider Electric.”
