Schneider Electric sponsors Great Records operation
Olivier de Kersauson and his crew, in partnership with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Schneider Electric, are to challenge some of the most prestigious around-the-world sailing records : the Jules Verne trophy, the Atlantic and Transpacific records, Tea Route, etc…
Sharing the same values of determination and commitment, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, one of the worldwide leaders in management consulting and IT services, and Schneider Electric, the worldwide specialist in power and control, have decided to accompany Olivier de Kersauson and his team for the next five years.
Thanks to their support, Olivier de Kersauson’s team will have all the necessary material and technological resources, as well as the enthusiastic support of the 100 000 people employed by both groups.
Since 1997, Olivier de Kersauson and his crew are the fastest sailors around the world, since winning the Jules Verne trophy. They also have unique experience of large multi-hulls, from the design stage to the race itself. The crew as a whole have registered more than one million miles on large trimarans. After more than ten years devoted to multi-hulls and winning great records, they have built their own specific culture based on hard work, continuous improvement and a special relationship with sailing technicians and architects.
By achieving outstanding results, they aim to prove that all these values and skills, exerted on the greatest courses of the world, will defeat the ever growing and powerful competition.
