Schneider Electric in Tunisia
Two contracts signed recently :
The "RCD" (Democratic Party) House
The "RCD House" is a modern structure where the latest technology in terms of construction materials and electrical distribution has been used. This magnificent 17-story building was inaugurated in February and overlooks the lake in Tunis, offering an exceptional panoramic view of the city.
For this project, Schneider Electric Tunisia supplied Canalis rising busbar trunking, general LV switchboards and Prisma enclosures for electrical distribution on each floor, for a total value of
FF 1 million, (i.e. 160,071 euros). The products were wire-assembled by a local panel-builder and installed by a local contractor, in partnership with Schneider Electric Tunisia.
This solution offers a modern electrical distribution system, with the advantages of prefabricated busbar trunking.
Carrefour is the first major superstore to open in Tunisia, through a joint venture between Ulysse Hyper Distribution and Carrefour France. The complex includes more than 25,000 m2 of floor space, including a 10,000 m2 superstore, together with a commercial gallery of approximately 9,000 m2. The site was inaugurated on April 10, 2001.
Schneider Electric Tunisia supplied the Canalis lighting distribution system, TGBT electrical switchboards and Prisma cabinets. The products were wire-assembled by a local panel-builder and installed by a local contractor, in partnership with Schneider Electric Tunisia.
The total value of the contract was FF 1.7 million (i.e. 259,163 euros).
Safety and reliability were the main selling points in this project.
