Electrical project a success at the Aurillac Hospital
"What if one day the hospital was deprived of electricity?"
In asking this simple question, so laden with easily imaginable consequences, management at the Henri Mondor Hospital Complex in Aurillac (France) launched a tender call to renovate and improve the reliability of the hospital's electrical network. To provide for every breakdown contingency in a sensitive installation requiring high-availability power supply, the Hospital Complex. launched a tender call in July 2000. Two firms joined forces on the project to win the tender: Cegelec and Schneider Electric, through the research and technical assistance center (CEAT) in Lyon and the Clermont-Ferrand sales agency. The electrical network at the Henri Mondor Hospital Complex in Aurillac now relies on several Schneider Electric 20kV HVA substations connected in a loop to ensure the availability of power to the different sectors.
