Equipment for an hypermarket in Carré Sénart, France
The town of Melun Sénart is home to one of France’s largest shopping centers, Carré Sénart, which combines shops and leisure activities with a 14,000 sqm Carrefour hypermarket as its major attraction. This is an excellent showcase for Schneider Electric, which was responsible for the hypermarket’s electrical installation through the expertise of its contractor, Juret.

The Carré Sénart installation is a substantial one. In addition to the delivery station equipped with HVA SM6 cells, it is powered by two dry-type 1600 kVA Trihal transformers. It includes a 5000A general LV switchboard equipped with Masterpact NW and Compact NS circuit breakers and TeSys motor-starters (including the new TeSys U).
The building management system relies on a TSX Premium PLC and TSX Nanos, while TSX Premiums and TSX Micros control the food-grade cooling equipment. More than 4000 meters of Canalis KNA prefabricated busbar trunking were also installed for the entire electrical distribution.
