China - New district in Jinan, Shandong province
Schneider Electric is providing all of the electrical distribution equipment for Jinan’s new residential district, from medium voltage to low voltage to Ultra Terminal. Currently under construction, the district will boast more than two million square meters of built-up space, including 19 high-rises with 1,000 apartments in the first of five phases, a neighborhood shopping center, underground parking garages, gymnasiums, a daycare center and other community buildings.
China - Clean water for 50 million residents
In the past 15 years, Degrémont has built nearly 150 water treatment plants in China. Schneider Electric has been involved in most of these projects, providing electrical distribution, automation and control equipment. Singapore - Advanced technology for very pure water
We are the world’s leading provider of secured power, automation, and control and supervision systems for water treatment plants. In 2004, we won a contract to equip Kranji Newater’s new treatment unit, which will supply Singapore residents and companies with high quality water.
India - Schneider Electric equips Saint Gobain’s largest global site
We have developed a dozen specific applications to support Saint Gobain’s projects, including solutions to ensure steady furnace temperatures and to monitor glass cutting. We’re currently building the entire electrical distribution system, all the way down to Ultra Terminal and lighting, for the glassmaker’s three new plants in Channai (formerly Madras), India. For the automation and control systems, we worked hand in hand with OEM Bottero to make machines that meet Saint Gobain’s specific needs.
Thirty-year partnership with Fonterra in New Zealand
We have signed a new cooperation agreement with New Zealand’s Fonterra, the world’s fifth largest dairy products company and a Schneider Electric partner and customer for more than 30 years. The agreement promotes the deployment of Schneider Electric technologies in all areas related to manufacturing excellence and encourages knowledge and experience sharing among experts from both companies.
Turkmenistan - Power for Central Asia’s largest mosque
We have supplied a 110 kV/10 kV 63 MVA substation in Kiptchak, Turkmenistan that will primarily supply the largest mosque in Central Europe, currently being built by Bouygues Construction. Bouygues is one of the 100 strategic accounts with whom we have a global partnership.
Australia - More rapid and reliable processes
Cagemaker machines for building reinforced concrete cages - designed to strengthen construction works - are considered to be the best in the world. Thanks to these machines, Cagemaker can improve cage construction speeds by 60 %. Schneider Electric participates in this prowess of rapidity and reliability by equipping the machine control system with robots and speed variators.
Australia - Vivendi Environnement and Schneider Electric: a partnership for water
The SCADA system (data monitoring, control and acquisition) makes it possible to analyse the quality of water every ten seconds! This very sophisticated Schneider Electric solution equips three entirely automatic drinking water production plants. These units supply 100 000 people in the rural region of Bendigo with drinking water.
New Zealand - Close up of the milk sector
It took Schneider Electric two years to equip five milk production plants in New Zealand with automation and control systems. And notably one of the world’s largest driers producing 20 tons of powdered milk every hour!
Taiwan - 42.7 km of subway in Kaohsiung
In partnership with China Stelle Corporation, Schneider Electric is participating in equipping 42.7 km of the Kaohsiung subway, in Taiwan’s second largest city. The Group is also working on the Athens and Lisbon subways and has gained extensive experience in this field.
