Chemopetrol signs HV contract with Schneider in the Czech Republic
Schneider has signed a contract in the Czech Republic with Chemopetrol, the chemicals subsidiary of Unipetrol, to supply a turnkey substation. The unit, from the new HB7 range, will contain gas insulated switchgear and have 12 bays. Schneider will handle project implementation in cooperation with local subcontractors.
Pascal Charriau, head of Schneider's Czech subsidiary, notes that: "Schneider is not very well known for high voltage in the Czech Republic and the competition is very rough." The Company was chosen for two reasons: it has built a relationship of trust with Chemopetrol and has invested in the country, notably at the job-creating Pisek manufacturing site.
