This position is accountable for performing a variety of engineering work which may be related to applications; electrical/electronics; mechanical; manufacturing; quality; safety, health & environmental; or software. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors. A. Create designs specific to medium voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and related equipment. B. Coordinate with various engineering and plant teams to develop solutions within the scope of assigned projects. C. Develop Bills of Material based on project designs. D. Create engineering reports/submittals that clearly address the technical needs of a project. E. Perform site visits, conducting assessments of the condition and ratings of the existing equipment along with taking measurements of the equipment. F. Develop an understanding of company processes as well as applicable codes and standards. Additional future responsibilities include but not limited to: developing engineering solutions for the custom medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and switchboards; equipment retrofills and replacements. - Minimum 5 years experience in design - preferably in electromechanical field
- 3D CAD experience
Proven experience in the below areas: · Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on design and project work. · Apply problem solving approaches to develop solutions within the scope of a project. · Proficiency with CAD software. · Proficiency with Office software (Word, Excel, etc.). · Management of overall project delivery and production/installation schedule.
