Senior Controller Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Sr. Controller Software Engineer to join Energy R&D, Secure Power-China for China Department. Reporting to Tech Section Manager, will primarily be focused on:

• Responsible for software development including PLC and HMI of energy storage products and write software specifications according to product requirements
• Testing and optimizing of PLC and HMI software
• Contributes to continuous improvement of products and process
• Lead or participates in code inspections and PLC & HMI review checklist
• Specify and implement PLC program and support EMS hardware selection
• Responsible for the definition of the protocol interface between EMS and PCS, PV inverter, and Battery, etc. Review and approve the software function of the product delivered by the external supplier, etc
• Assist in production implementation of PLC programming
• Build up and execute test, verification and validation plan

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria:

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS – MINIMUM REQUIRED:

• Minimum 3 years experience in EMS system development, participated in EMS system architecture, function and design, etc.
• Experience on application and development for standard industry HMI/Display
•  Familiar with EMS system control strategy
• Understand PCS, PV interver and Li-ion battery
• Experience on application of standard industry PLC (Schneider-electric brand is preferred)
• Ability to read electrical diagram
• Be familiar with software that can support PLC application development
• Good English reading and written skills
• Ability to independently analyze and solve difficult and complex problems

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS – DESIRED

• Familiar with the architecture and control strategy of EMS of domestic mainstream manufacturers
• Web development using HTML, JavaScript, Angular JS
• Programming skills on windows or Linux environment (GUI, Web App etc.)
