Criteria

Responsibilities/Tasks

Strategy:

·       Perform needs analysis for different Schneider entities and segment the commodity needs.         

·       Perform in the geographic zone market analysis / intelligence and identification of

market trends that could affect the pricing and supply

·       Identify and propose strategic suppliers for the geographic zones/BUsas per needs segmentation.

·       Contribute to the development and deployment of the global cost models, scoring

·       models, price indexes etc.

Execution:

·       Directly manage some strategic suppliers and get involved in global negotiations with these suppliers.       

·       Support other purchasers (Regional) in their negotiations.

·       Plan business reviews with strategic suppliers & assign the task to the respective supplier leaders in the zone.

·       Deploy supplier framework agreements with strategic suppliers

·       Propose evolution of the Supplier Orientation Chart based on the Evolution of the Commodity Strategy.

·       Lead qualification process for any new supplier linked to commodity

Performance monitoring:

·       Track the monthly Performance for the suppliers in his/her geographic zone (Quality, Service, Productivity, target Productivity to be set).

·       Follow up of the APOP implementation and others improvement actions

·       Track the supplier concentration ratio for the commodity

·       Drive innovations & productivity pipeline in his/her zone

 

Additional requirements from the candidate

·       Communicate and share useful information's with Regional Buyers, Operational

Buyers, Commodity Strategy, Evolution of needs, evolution of the market, evolution in the technical area, internal and external best practices.

·       Animate the network of supplier leaders for the commodity in the geographic zone.

·       Participate in the objective setting and performance assessment of supplier leaders for the commodity in the geographic zone.

 

 

 

Skills

 

·       Senior purchasing individual with a strong technical background and business acumen.

·       Ability to interact and negotiate with Key suppliers and Schneider executives on key contracts and services. Negotiation skills in a complex and moving environment

·       Ability to work in multicultural and cross functionnal mode, strong operational and strategical skills, ability to deliver on time, work in project mode, meet deadlines, push decisions.

·       Strong strategic / logic thinking
