CET850 is the IEC 61850 Edition 1.0, and 2.0 configurator associated with the Sepam and PowerLogic P3 and P5, ION7x50, ION8650 and MTZ devices. The CET850 software enables protection and integration engineers to design automated substations containing Schneider Electric Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED) compliant with the IEC 61850 standard. CET850 provides functions to create, edit and display IEC 61850 configuration files based on the Substation Configuration Language (SCL), compliant with IEC 61850 Part 6. CET850 supports the following SCL files: ICD (IED Capabilities Description), IID (Instantiated IED Description), CID (Configured IED Description) and SCD (Substation Configuration Description). CET850 is delivered with a library of ICD files describing Schneider Electric Sepam, ION7x50, ION8650 and G3200 IED ranges. CET850 can be used to create or modify IEC 61850 configurations; edit SCL files (ICD, IID, CID, SCD); display device and system configurations; add or remove IEDs; set or modify communication parameters; optimize configurations by creating or modifying DataSets, Report Control Blocks and Goose Control Blocks. CET850 can generate CID files for one IED for download via FTP or SFT2841 (Sepam only), generate IID files for use by other IEC 61850 tools, and generate SCD files for IEC 61850 systems. CET850 optimizes data transfer by adapting DataSets, Report Control Blocks, Deadband values and Goose Control Blocks based on the producer consumer model. Peer to peer communication between Sepam devices using GOOSE messaging supports distributed protection and control functions such as interlocking, intertripping and logic discrimination. ICD files from other manufacturers may be used; however, some editing features are restricted to Schneider Electric IEDs. Cyber security correction: releases before 4.13.0 added Everyone privileges to Program Files (x86) Schneider Electric directory.
